Hi, I'm Dominik. In June I was admitted to study Computer Science at Saxion University and started organizing my new life as a first year student in Enschede looking for accommodation. I come from a multicultural family - my mother is of Slovak origin and my father is of Colombian origin, so I have both nationalities and I have applied in Saxion University with my Slovak nationality, although I currently reside with my family in the capital of Colombia, Bogota. I am 17 years old and I have just finished my secondary school in Bogota, but very soon I will turn 18 and I consider myself mature enough to move away from my family and embark on a new path at Saxion University. In my multicultural family I have learned since I was little to travel a lot and enjoy adventures of all kinds. From a very young age I have started racing swimming training and today I am the performance swimmer affiliated with the Swimming Federation of Colombia and also of Slovakia. I hope to continue with this hobby also in Holland, since I like sports in general. Outside of sports, perhaps like most young people of my age, I like music and video games. I come from very far away (Colombia) and I have faith that living this way I will be able to adapt much easier to my new life and make lasting friendships with mutual support. Being an athlete since I was little, I am used to sharing with my peers and providing support when required, I am a friendly and social person. Coming from a multicultural family I think I was raised to be respectful and open-minded. Furthermore, Colombian culture is a very friendly, happy and pleasant culture like most South American cultures.

Hi, I'm Clara! I am a 24 year-old German who is looking to move to Utrecht for my Masters. From September onwards I will study "Social Challenges, Policies, and Interventions" in Utrecht and after a few years in Nijmegen I am now ready to make a new city my home. Besides my studies I love to be in nature, work on creative projects like knitting or sewing, cook, play Volleyball, and spend time with my friends. From my time studying in Nijmegen I already have lots of experience living with other people and like to think that I am a clean, open-minded and uncomplicated roommate to live with. While I don't speak Dutch fluently yet, I understand it almost fluently and am also doing a course to further learn the language! For my new home I would prefer to live with roommates that also like to spend time together every now and then but I also understand that this is not always possible, which is okay. Hoihoi! Ik ben Koen, kom uit Goes en ben net gestart met mijn studie geneeskunde aan de RU. Na Na een leuk tussenjaar heb ik veel zin om in Nijmegen te studeren. Ik zoek leuke plek om er ook te wonen, want elke dag ruim vijf uur reistijd vanuit Zeeland is niet te doen. Afgelopen jaar heb ik in de winter skiles gegeven in Oostenrijk en in de zomer bij de animatie op een camping gewerkt. Bij allebei deelde ik een huis samen met leeftijdsgenoten en dat is me prima bevallen. Ik vind het gezellig om mensen in de buurt te hebben en bijvoorbeeld samen te koken, te eten, een spelletje te doen of de stad in te gaan. Tegelijkertijd kan ik ook prima mijn eigen ding doen zelf in mijn kamer. Het lijkt me gezellig om in een leuk studentenhuis te wonen, maar ik zou ook heel blij zijn met een studio of kamer bij een hospita in huis. In mijn vrije tijd houd ik veel van muziek, ik speel piano en een beetje gitaar. Ik ben ook graag een beetje sportief bezig, dus ga ik in Nijmegen ook weer roeien.
