After finishing my bachelor in International Relations in Groningen, I am moving to The Hague to do the master’s degree The Politics of Artificial Intelligence in the University of Leiden, starting in September 2026. After my master’s degree, I hope to stay indefinitely in the city to work, so I am looking for a rental place where I can stay for a minimum of one year, if possible more. I am currently living in Groningen, but I would like to move to The Hague in August or September. I would also be happy to start a rental contract in July if the opportunity arises. I currently live alone and also wish to live alone in The Hague. The rent and utilities costs are fully covered by my father, Julio Lainez, who can provide bank statements as proof of income and can sign a letter certifying that he will fulfill these payments. Ik ben Menno, 17 (in mei 18) jaar en ga aankomend schooljaar beginnen aan de studie mechanical engineering aan de TU. Ik kom uit Urk en hoop voor de komende studentenjaren in Enschede te kunnen doorbrengen. Ik ben een sociale en actieve gast die niet graag de hele avond alleen op zijn kamer zit. Daar horen natuurlijk ook een aantal hobby's bij. Ik hou van muziek maken en doe dit als slagwerker bij Showband Urk, waar we ook van gezelligheid houden. Ook ben ik bezig met audio- en videotechniek. Dit doe ik als geluidsman voor een kerk, maar ook bij feestjes kan je me vinden om de techniek te regelen. Ook kan een stukje sport niet ontbreken. Ik doe de laatste tijd aan hardlopen maar diverse sporten vind ik leuk om te doen.

I'm calm, warm, and probably easier to live with than to describe in a paragraph, but here we go. I grew up on the Costa Brava, so the sea, slow mornings and being outside are kind of my baseline. I came to the Netherlands for an Erasmus semester and ended up genuinely loving the rhythm of life here. My free time tends to land somewhere between the gym, a book, a yard with horses, long walks, a glass of wine with the few people I'm close to, or crocheting on the sofa (yes, granny hobby, fully embraced). As a roommate I'm tidy, I enjoy sharing food and a real conversation, and I respect quiet evenings just as much. I show up for the shared stuff (groceries, cleaning, the random "we need a new lightbulb" moments), and I'm honest if something's bothering me rather than letting it build. Catalan, Spanish and English fluently, French rusty but there, Dutch slowly picking up.
