Hello! I am Maria, 25 years old from Greece and I am looking for either a room or a studio in Amsterdam (and around max 40 minutes with public transport). I’m looking to rent long term with REGISTRATION. I am very clean and responsible as I have experience living with other people in different countries, thus I am very adaptable and easygoing. I don't look much in a room as long as I have my own space. In my free time I like to hang out with friends and do activities outside of the house. I love going to the cinema, biking/walking around the city, exploring new places to drink or eat. Ideally it'd be great to do activities with my future flatmates too but it's not exclusive as I understand everyone has their own routine. I am a 24-year-old Canadian law student from Toronto. I have been in Groningen since August 2025. I came to Groningen as part of my Canadian University’s partnership with RUG that allowed me to finish my Canadian Juris Doctor degree and enabled me to get an LLM at RUG. As such, currently, I have completed the Juris Doctor degree and am wrapping up my LLM in Law and Technology at the RUG. In Canada, the study of law is exclusively a graduate study. As a result, I also have an Undergraduate Degree from the University of Toronto. Initially, I planned to go back to Toronto for work after the completion of my study in Groningen. However, I have fallen in love with the city and its walkability/cyclability. As a result, I plan to stay in the city for some time and establish a legal career in Europe. Currently, I am in the process of searching for a legal job. In the meantime, I have lined up some part time work to keep up with expenses. Although surprised, my family is supportive of my decision to stay in Groningen and are willing to act as my financial safety net, if needed.
