Hoi! Ik ben een zojuist afgestudeerd van de master Neerlandistiek, en werk momenteel als Projectleider Taal, Cultuur en Communicatie aan de Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. Omdat ik een campuscontract heb voor mijn huidige woning, ben ik nu op zoek naar een nieuwe plek. Ik houd van lezen, schrijven, wandelen en naar theatervoorstellingen en concerten gaan.

I am a friendly, sociable person from the UK (Cardiff, South Wales). I work as a software engineer in Breukelen and I'm studying jazz piano in Maastricht and spend Sunday - Tuesdays there. I don't drink or smoke and have no pets. I've been living in the Netherlands since 2019 and have an A2 Dutch comprehension level. I clean up after myself and am generally a tidy person. My preference would be a communal household with people who enjoy spending time together, eating dinner or hanging out. However, I have plenty to do on my own and am happy keeping to myself as well. In my spare time, I practice piano (can always do it with headphones), read, meditate (I am a part of the Wake Up Utrecht meditation group), go to the gym, hang out with friends, play at jams and recently became obsessed with chess. Hee! Ik ben een tweedejaars student aan de UU en ben op zoek naar een kamer in een gezellig studentenhuis in Utrecht. Een gemengd huis met huisavonden en af en toe een feestje lijkt mij erg gezellig. Een beetje over mezelf; ik hou van koken, tennissen, plaatjes draaien en veel leuke dingen doen met vrienden. Ik werk naast mijn studie met veel plezier als tennistrainer in Westbroek. Naast dat ik voor mezelf op zoek ben naar een kamer zou ik het heel leuk vinden om met een goeie vriend van me samen te gaan wonen, of dit nou in een 2-persoons appartement of in een studentenhuis gaat worden, maakt ons niet veel uit. Ik (Joël) begin nu aan mijn derde jaar Journalistiek op de HU. Daarnaast ben ik ook actief als redacteur voor 3voor12 Utrecht. Daarvoor schrijf ik stukken over de Utrechtse muziekscene. Net als Matea hou ik van spontane plannen en ben ik altijd in voor leuke activiteiten. Verder houd ik van muziek maken en sporten. Ook lees ik af en toe en ga ik graag naar een feestje. Naast mijn studie werk ik in de IKEA op de slaapkamerafdeling. Wij zijn allebei vrij nette huurders, en zorgen er voor dat ruimtes schoon achtergelaten worden. Juist omdat we allebei van koken houden, vinden we dit belangrijk. Hopelijk kunnen we een keer kennismaken!

My partner has lived in the NL since 2023 for his Master’s degree in TU Delft, and I joined him near the end of 2025. Our current housing only lasts until March 2026 due to renovation purposes.
