While originally from Germany, I came here to study Psychology at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and just recently graduated with my Bachelor’s degree. However, after I obtained my degree I realized relatively quickly that I would rather dive straight into working, which is why I started a stable full-time position in Business and Import Administration at Koopman International. Tijdens mijn studie woonde ik in Amstelveen in een huis met drie huisgenoten, maar dat heb ik onlangs moeten verlaten vanwege het faillissement van de woningbemiddelaar. Omdat ik iemand ben die behoefte heeft aan structuur en orde, en ik nu financieel veel zelfstandiger ben, met een bruto maandinkomen van ~3800€ (incl. vakantiegeld en 13e maand), ben ik op zoek gegaan naar een plek die ik helemaal mijn eigen kan maken en waar ik voor langere tijd kan blijven wonen. I'll be moving to the Netherlands at the end of August to get my Masters in Crisis and Security Management at Leiden University (The Hague Campus). Ideally, I'm trying to find a room in a shared apartment/house with roommates or a small apartment/studio either in The Hague, Leiden or Delft to rent for a little more than a year starting mid-August. I'm very excited to be studying "abroad" (or away from home, I guess) again, as I find that experiencing new cultures is one of the best things a young person can do. I'm a huge fan of traveling and I got my Bachelor's degree in the United States, so I think living somewhere different in Europe for my Masters will be a cool change. I'm used to living with people, I've always grown up with siblings and spent the last four years living with 1, 2 and all the way up to 6 people, so I'd say I'm quite adaptable and know how roommate life works. As for my free time, I looove all things food and going out to eat, hanging out with my roommates, reading, going out on the weekends but also having fun nights in. I would describe myself as outgoing, responsible, independent, easygoing, and fun to be around. I'm also a very active person, I've played tennis my whole life and played college sports while in the US but generally enjoy most sports (especially volleyball and football).
