I’m looking for a room (ideally furnished) within cycling distance of the university for the full 2 years of my studies. My budget is €600/month. I am also a licensed physiotherapeutic yoga teacher and am currently doing a massage therapy course. I grow my own herbs and recycle wherever I can. I will be relocating to the Netherlands and expect a higher income shortly. To provide additional security, I am able to pay up to 6 months of rent in advance and can also provide proof of sufficient savings. And I’m looking for a place where I can live for a year. My dogs are Shetland Sheepdogs (medium-sized), both under 10 kg. I am a professional dog groomer and dog trainer, and my dogs are very well-trained. They do not chew furniture or damage the property. After walks, I always clean them properly before bringing them inside. I’ll wash them every two weeks to keep them clean. Once my freelance visa is approved, I will be working as a groomer five days a week. I plan to work at a salon where I can bring my dogs with me, so they will not be left alone at home. I do not smoke and I do not drink alcohol. I am a responsible and reliable tenant. I lived in the UK and Australia for a year each so I’ve used to live in abroad. I take off my shoes when entering the home and always keep the place clean and well-maintained. I will arrive in the Netherlands on July 17, but I am able to start paying rent immediately if needed. A bit about me: I am currently finishing up my mandatory military service in the South Korean Air Force. Because of this, I am incredibly disciplined, highly value a clean and structured living environment, and deeply respect house rules, shared chores, and quiet hours. When I’m not diving into coding projects or studying, I’m a big PC gamer (I love complex strategy games), a massive sports and Formula 1 fan, and I really enjoy creative writing. My name is Olivia, and I will be moving from California to the Netherlands in August 2026 to begin the Master's programme in Physics and Astronomy at the Universiteit van Amsterdam, specializing in GRAPPA (Gravitation Astroparticle Physics Amsterdam). I am 26 years old and recently completed my degree in Astrophysics at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). In addition to my studies, I run a private mathematics and science tutoring business, which I will continue remotely on a reduced schedule while completing my master's degree. I have lived independently since 2018 and have rented my current apartment since 2019.
