Mijn naam is Storm, ik ben 17 jaar en ga vanaf komend studiejaar Geneeskunde studeren in Groningen. Ik ben een rustige, nette en sociale jongen. Door een noodsituatie ben ik en mijn 18-jarige dochter op zoek naar een woning vanaf september een woning in Utrecht of omgeving. Ik heb geen probleem om vanaf 1 september te betalen, ook zouden we pas op 9 september verhuizen. We zullen de woning zeker tot eind van het schooljaar nodig hebben, misschien langer (we horen komende week wanneer we weer terug kunnen naar onze definitieve woonplek) en vooruitbetalingen en borg zijn ook geen probleem. We roken en drinken niet, hebben geen huisdier en zijn verder heel rustige mensen.

I am a 24-year-old Canadian law student from Toronto. I have been in Groningen since August 2025. I came to Groningen as part of my Canadian University’s partnership with RUG that allowed me to finish my Canadian Juris Doctor degree and enabled me to get an LLM at RUG. As such, currently, I have completed the Juris Doctor degree and am wrapping up my LLM in Law and Technology at the RUG. In Canada, the study of law is exclusively a graduate study. As a result, I also have an Undergraduate Degree from the University of Toronto. Initially, I planned to go back to Toronto for work after the completion of my study in Groningen. However, I have fallen in love with the city and its walkability/cyclability. As a result, I plan to stay in the city for some time and establish a legal career in Europe. Currently, I am in the process of searching for a legal job. In the meantime, I have lined up some part time work to keep up with expenses. Although surprised, my family is supportive of my decision to stay in Groningen and are willing to act as my financial safety net, if needed. I have been paying 800 EUR for my current SSH accommodation and can provide the receipts. Apart from my study and work-based pursuits, I have kept engaged with hobbies in the city including Salsa and Ballroom dancing. I am also a part of the travel association AEGEE and have taken opportunities to travel across 12 European countries. Additionally, I am currently taking Dutch intensive summer classes. I hope to have at least an A2 level proficiency in the language by the end of this summer.
