Hello! I’m a 20 y.o. single student from Czech Republic, Prague, and I’m moving to Groningen in August to start my Bachelor studies in International and European Law. I’m looking for a room - ideally 10+ months rent, but I’m flexible. I have full financial support from my parents, when I move to the Netherlands (both higher income bankers - ca 50k gross annual income). Though I plan on finding a part-time job in Groningen. I can provide you references and recommendations from my previous employer and landlord. I’m a very tidy and organised person, I don’t smoke and don’t have any pets. I play the flute, but won’t be bringing it to the Netherlands. I’m very excited to meet my new roommates and spend some time with them. Cooking and baking is my comfort activity, so I’d be very happy to cook some delicious dinner that our household can enjoy together. I love getting to know people, we can talk in the evenings or go out together, though I respect people’s personal space and also sometimes need my alone time. I ride a roadbike, run a lot, and love playing volleyball or beach volleyball with friends. Besides sports, I enjoy spending time with friends, relaxing in the evenings with a few beers and card games, or cooking together with others. Hello there! I'm a self-employed multidisciplinary creative professional (photographer/creative director/media background) who relocated to the Netherlands from the U.S. in February. I have a valid visa & residence permit, a business registered with the KvK, a growing network of Dutch friends and a sense of community, having previously spent extended stays in the NL twice in two years. This time, my move is permanent. I have never felt more at home than I do with my feet in the ground in the Netherlands. I am in LOVE with Het Gooi region, where I'm and am temporarily staying. I know every trail, every neighborhood, farm and public transport access from Bussum, Huizen and Blaricum to Laren and Hilversum. I'm also familiar with Naarden, LOVE Baarn, Hoorn, Haarlem, Amersfoot and Den Haag - where I have friends. I'm aware of the housing shortage, and will happily consider any availability within a 90-minute commute by public transportation to Amsterdam, where much of my work seems to be. I have an excellent rental history and personal references and I care for my space. I have a green thumb, love people, adore animals, art, am newly enthusiastic about golf, opera, and even the raindrops most complain about - there's serenity in gray days, too! I would love my independence and a studio or apartment, but I also understand the housing shortage yields few or unaffordable rentals, so I'd be open to discussing sharing in a bright, comfortable place with someone kind and respectful, who appreciates some privacy and room to breathe. :) I have no pets, but huge bonus if you do! ;) Registration is necessary.
