I’m Denis, a French PhD student in linguistics and philosophy, enrolled in a joint PhD programme at the University of Groningen. I’m looking for a place in Groningen from September (or October), either for one semester or the full academic year. I’m particularly interested in a studio or a room with private facilities. I’m a very tidy, respectful and quiet person, and I’m a non-smoker. Since I’m in the final year of my PhD, I’ll be spending a lot of time working, so I’m mainly looking for a comfortable and peaceful place to live. I'm quiet and easy to live with, but sociable too, I genuinely enjoy cooking, a shared meal or a beer in the evening, and I can just as happily have a calm night in. It really depends on the mood, I read the room and fit in. I like a home that actually works, where the kitchen gets used, where I do my share without being asked, and where I'll fix a small thing rather than let it sit. I'm tidy, low-drama, and I've never minded picking up a little slack for people I live with. Alongside my studies I intend to work as well, so my days are structured and my rhythm fits a working household.
