In September I'm moving to The Hague to start a one-year master's in Crisis and Security Management at Leiden University, and I'm looking for a room I can settle into for the whole duration of my studies, not just somewhere to sleep between lectures. The thing I care about most in a shared home is trust, simply being someone you can rely on, whatever kind of day it's been. I'm quiet and easy to live with, but sociable too, I genuinely enjoy cooking, a shared meal or a beer in the evening, and I can just as happily have a calm night in. It really depends on the mood, I read the room and fit in. I like a home that actually works, where the kitchen gets used, where I do my share without being asked, and where I'll fix a small thing rather than let it sit. I'm tidy, low-drama, and I've never minded picking up a little slack for people I live with. Alongside my studies I intend to work as well, so my days are structured and my rhythm fits a working household. Hoihoi! Ik ben Koen, kom uit Goes en ben net gestart met mijn studie geneeskunde aan de RU. Na Na een leuk tussenjaar heb ik veel zin om in Nijmegen te studeren. Ik zoek leuke plek om er ook te wonen, want elke dag ruim vijf uur reistijd vanuit Zeeland is niet te doen. Afgelopen jaar heb ik in de winter skiles gegeven in Oostenrijk en in de zomer bij de animatie op een camping gewerkt. Bij allebei deelde ik een huis samen met leeftijdsgenoten en dat is me prima bevallen. Ik vind het gezellig om mensen in de buurt te hebben en bijvoorbeeld samen te koken, te eten, een spelletje te doen of de stad in te gaan. Tegelijkertijd kan ik ook prima mijn eigen ding doen zelf in mijn kamer. Het lijkt me gezellig om in een leuk studentenhuis te wonen, maar ik zou ook heel blij zijn met een studio of kamer bij een hospita in huis. In mijn vrije tijd houd ik veel van muziek, ik speel piano en een beetje gitaar. Ik ben ook graag een beetje sportief bezig, dus ga ik in Nijmegen ook weer roeien.
