Hoi! Ik ben Ishara, 22 jaar oud, en momenteel bezig met afstuderen in Toegepaste Psychologie. Vanaf september start ik aan een nieuwe bachelor Psychologie aan de Radboud University. Sinds mijn 18e woon ik al op kamers in Nijmegen en inmiddels heb ik hier echt mijn eigen leven opgebouwd. Op dit moment woon ik in een studentenhuis met een vrij zelfstandige kamer (eigen keuken en ongeveer 30m²), maar ik merk dat ik nu toe ben aan een volgende stap: een eigen studio of appartement waar ik wat meer rust en mijn eigen ritme kan hebben. Ik ben erg zelfstandig, rustig en netjes. Ik hou van een schoon huis en ben eerlijk gezegd een beetje een stress-schoonmaker, er gaat dus wekelijks wel een doekje over alles heen en de stofzuiger wordt regelmatig gebruikt 😄. Ik ga niet vaak uit, organiseer geen feestjes en ga respectvol om met mijn woonomgeving. Natuurlijk heb ik soms vrienden of familie over de vloer, maar verder leef ik vrij rustig. In mijn vrije tijd hou ik van lezen, spelletjes spelen, samen eten met vrienden en gewoon gezelligheid opzoeken. Ik zoek vooral een fijne plek waar ik me thuis kan voelen. Hi, I’m moving from Germany to Delft or The Hague to start my master’s in Applied Mathematics at TU Delft. Outside university, I’m really into sports. At the moment that mostly means running and cycling, but I’m generally up for trying pretty much anything and have been thinking about picking up football again. I’m also a big fan of spontaneous plans, whether that means going for a run, heading to the park, cooking dinner together or grabbing a beer somewhere. I like learning new things and can easily get drawn into a good discussion or some random topic I suddenly want to understand. Recently I’ve also picked up reading again after some peer pressure from friends, and I’m actually enjoying it. I’m using the rest of August to learn as much Dutch as I can. I’m still a beginner, but I’d like to improve quickly once I’m living there and can actually use it every day. I’ve already lived in a shared apartment during my bachelor’s, so I know what it’s like to share a home with other people. Ideally, I’d like to live somewhere where people occasionally cook together, hang out or spontaneously do something, rather than just sharing a kitchen and never seeing each other. At the same time, I’m perfectly happy doing my own thing as well. Right now I’m mainly hoping to find a place where I can settle in before the semester starts.
