Ik ben een 18-jarige toekomstige studente die in september 2026 start met de Bachelor International and European Law aan de Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. Ik heb een internationale achtergrond: mijn vader is Belgisch en mijn moeder Spaans. Hoewel ik half Belgisch ben, is Frans mijn moedertaal. Ik woon sinds enkele jaren met mijn familie in Den Haag en leer momenteel Nederlands, een taal die ik graag verder wil verbeteren door samen te wonen met Nederlandse studenten en mij volledig onder te dompelen in het dagelijkse leven in Nederland. Ik ben sociaal, open-minded en respectvol, maar tegelijk ook rustig en discreet wanneer dat nodig is. Ik ben Mara, 22 jaar en woon momenteel in Nijmegen. Momenteel die doe ik een tussenjaar na een Bachelor Psychologie. Tijdens mijn studententijd stond ik altijd open voor contact met medestudenten. Zo nam ik deel aan een studentenvereniging gericht op theater en deed ik mee aan verschillende cursussen in sport zoals badminton en boksen. Met vrienden vind ik het erg leuk goede gesprekken te voeren, te wandelen en iets te drinken in een café. Zelf sport ik graag, houd ik van tekenen, lezen en series en films kijken. Ook werk ik al anderhalf jaar bij een mentale support lijn waarbij ik emotionele ondersteuning bied aan jongvolwassenen. Tijdens mijn tussenjaar ben ik gaan reizen door verschillende landen in Europa en doe ik vrijwilligerswerk waarbij ik in contact kom met mensen van verschillende religies en culturen. Zo werk ik werkte ik in een boeddhistisch centrum en een vluchtelingenkamp. Dit sluit ook aan bij de master die ik wil gaan doen in Groningen; Applied Social Psychology.
