Hello ! I'm Iris I'm 21 years old and I'm a student who is going to study International Relations and Diplomacy at the Leiden University in the Hague. I already came in the Hague for an Erasmus this September and I really enjoyed it. I visited the city every day, met a lot of people and worked 6 months at a bakery. I'm looking for a studio to live alone or a shared apartment, and the gender or the number of the person(s) who occupy the home doesn't matter for me. As I am a student, I do not currently have any income, but my parents support me and are willing to pay up to 1,000 euros towards the rent.

I am a 24-year-old Canadian law student from Toronto. I have been in Groningen since August 2025. I came to Groningen as part of my Canadian University’s partnership with RUG that allowed me to finish my Canadian Juris Doctor degree and enabled me to get an LLM at RUG. As such, currently, I have completed the Juris Doctor degree and am wrapping up my LLM in Law and Technology at the RUG. In Canada, the study of law is exclusively a graduate study. As a result, I also have an Undergraduate Degree from the University of Toronto. Initially, I planned to go back to Toronto for work after the completion of my study in Groningen. However, I have fallen in love with the city and its walkability/cyclability. As a result, I plan to stay in the city for some time and establish a legal career in Europe. Currently, I am in the process of searching for a legal job. In the meantime, I have lined up some part time work to keep up with expenses. Although surprised, my family is supportive of my decision to stay in Groningen and are willing to act as my financial safety net, if needed. I have been paying 800 EUR for my current SSH accommodation and can provide the receipts. Apart from my study and work-based pursuits, I have kept engaged with hobbies in the city including Salsa and Ballroom dancing. I am also a part of the travel association AEGEE and have taken opportunities to travel across 12 European countries. Additionally, I am currently taking Dutch intensive summer classes. I hope to have at least an A2 level proficiency in the language by the end of this summer.

Dear All, My name is Maxime, I look forward to studying Industrial Engineering at Twente University from this September onwards, and I am therefore looking for welcoming shared apartment in Enschede that I can call home during my studies. I am 19 years old and have lived in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, for the past 18 years, where I attended both English- and German-language schools. I am a German national by origin and therefore often spent my summer holidays in southern Germany, in the Black Forest and the Alpine area south of Munich. Additionally, I’ve travelled to remote parts of the world, particularly in Asia, Europe and the US. I am calm, easy-going and reliable. One of my greatest passions is fishing - I was very happy to discover that it is also possible to fish in and around Enschede.
