Hello! I'm a self-employed multidisciplinary creative professional (photographer/creative director/media background) who relocated to the Netherlands from the U.S. in February. I have a valid visa & residence permit, a business registered with the KvK, a growing network of Dutch friends and a sense of community, having previously spent extended stays in the NL twice in two years. This time, my move is permanent. I have never felt more at home than I do with my feet in the ground in the Netherlands. I am in LOVE with Het Gooi region, where I'm and am temporarily staying. I know every trail, every neighborhood, farm and public transport access from Bussum, Huizen and Blaricum to Laren and Hilversum. I'm also familiar with Naarden, LOVE Baarn, Hoorn, Haarlem, Amersfoot and Den Haag - where I have friends. I'm aware of the housing shortage, and will happily consider any availability within a 90-minute commute by public transportation to Amsterdam, where much of my work seems to be. I have an excellent rental history and personal references and I care for my space. I have a green thumb, love people, adore animals, art, am newly enthusiastic about golf, opera, and even the raindrops most complain about - there's serenity in gray days, too! I would love my independence and a studio or apartment, but I also understand the housing shortage yields few or unaffordable rentals, so I'd be open to discussing sharing in a bright, comfortable place with someone kind and respectful, who appreciates some privacy and room to breathe. :) I have no pets, but huge bonus if you do! ;) Registration is necessary. My name is Nea, I’m a 20-year-old Finnish student currently studying International Relations and Organisations at Leiden University. I moved to The Hague last August and have been living in a shared apartment with five flatmates, but since my contract is ending soon, I’m now looking for a new place to live. I’m used to living with others, so I’m respectful, tidy, and mindful of shared spaces. I also contribute to buying shared household essentials like toilet paper, etc. I don’t smoke or drink, and I generally enjoy cozy nights, although I do like the occasional social night out. out. Alongside my studies, I work part-time at my university as part of the exam hall crew, where I assist in setting up examination spaces. In addition, I receive financial support from Finland. I also have personal savings. I’d describe myself as open and active. I like staying busy, and I’m always down to try new activities. I go to the gym regularly, and in my free time I also like watching football, listening to music, and watching movies. I also spend a good amount of time studying and keeping up with my readings. I can be a little shy at first, but once I get comfortable, I’m really easygoing and chill. As a roommate, I’m looking for people who respect each other’s privacy and personal space, but are also up for a quick chat or hanging out now and then. I am particularly motivated to secure this housing because having a stable and comfortable place to live would allow me to fully focus on my studies.
