Ik ben Melissa (28), oorspronkelijk uit Duitsland, en ik start in maart als fulltime onderzoeksassistent aan de Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, waar ik ga werken aan biodiversiteitsthema’s. Mijn contract loopt twee jaar en ik ben op zoek naar een kamer voor langere tijd. Eerder verhuizen (bijvoorbeeld in februari) is voor mij ook mogelijk. Ik heb net mijn studie in Duitsland afgerond en kijk er erg naar uit om mijn eerste “echte” baan in Amsterdam te beginnen. Kleine disclaimer: ik spreek nog geen Nederlands (wel Duits, Engels en Spaans), maar ik heb al eens les gehad en verwacht het redelijk snel op te pakken. Het afgelopen jaar heb ik onderzoek gedaan naar wilde bijen in stedelijke omgevingen.. Ik ben open en vriendelijk, netjes en gewend om samen te wonen. Ik vind het leuk om af en toe samen te eten of te praten, maar kan ook goed mijn eigen ding doen. In mijn vrije tijd sport ik veel, ben ik graag buiten en kook ik regelmatig (meestal vegetarisch/vegan). Omdat mijn vriend in Londen woont, ben ik soms een weekend weg. I’m Melissa (28), originally from Germany, and I’ll be starting a full-time position as a research assistant at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam this March, working on biodiversity-related topics. My contract is for two years, and I’m ideally looking for a place long-term. I’d also be happy to move in earlier, for example in February. I’ve just finished my studies in Germany and I’m really excited to begin my first “real” job in Amsterdam. A small heads-up: I don’t speak Dutch yet (only German, English and Spanish), but I’ve taken some classes before and I’m confident I’ll pick up the basics fairly quickly. Over the past year, I worked on research about wild bees in urban environments, with sustainability being close to my heart. I’m easygoing, love to cook (mostly veggie) and generally uncomplicated to live with. I’ve lived in shared flats for many years and genuinely enjoy it. Whether the flat is more social or more on the quiet side, I’m happy with both. In my free time I like running, being outdoors, and I’ll probably join a gym once I’ve settled in. I am 26 and have a first degree, this is my second degree and my passion since i was small. I love cats and movies, enjoy going out to nature on weekends and meeting new people. I also enjoy my own peace and space, i keep it clean, and sometimes, when i need to recharge, i clean the whole apartment… Most of the time i will be studying in the library or in my room and, if it all works out, i will be having an internship during those 6 months. Hoihoi! Ik ben Meyke, 19 jaar en eerstejaars werktuigbouwkunde. Op dit moment woon ik in Delft in een onderhuurhuis, dus ik ben op zoek naar een plek waar ik echt kan settelen en een beetje thuis kan komen. Ik zit bij Laga en ben doordeweeks vaak bezig met studie en sporten, maar ik vind het supergezellig om ’s avonds met huisgenoten te eten, te chillen of een spontaan plan te maken. Ik ben sociaal, avontuurlijk en graag actief bezig. Na mijn VWO heb ik een tussenjaar gehad waarin ik een tijd in Spanje heb gewoond en later door Azië heb gebackpackt, dus ik ben altijd wel in voor nieuwe verhalen, gekke ideeën of gewoon een gezellige avond. Ik zoek een huis waar je elkaar ziet omdat je dat leuk vindt: samen eten, iets ondernemen of gewoon relaxed op de bank hangen, maar waar ook ruimte is om je eigen ding te doen. Een knus studentenhuis lijkt me superleuk, maar een (betaalbare) studio in of rond Delft zou ook heel fijn zijn. Lijkt me gezellig om jullie te leren kennen tijdens een hospi!

Hello! I'm a long-time self-employed multidisciplinary creative professional (photographer/creative director/media background) pursuing fluency in Dutch, relocating late January via a DAFT Visa. I already have a BSN, a network of Dutch friends and a sense of community, having spent extended stays in the NL twice in two years. This time, my move is permanent. I have never felt more at home than I do with my feet in the ground in the Netherlands. I care for my space, have a green thumb, and love people, adore animals, art, golf, opera, and even the raindrops most complain about - there's serenity in gray days, too! Hoi! Wat leuk dat je mijn profiel leest. Mijn naam is Pim, en ik ben op zoek naar een kamer in het adembenemende Utrecht. De zoektocht is lastig, zoals het voor velen is in deze stad. Ik studeer Sociale Geografie en Planologie aan Universiteit Utrecht, en zit in mijn eerste jaar. Op het moment woon ik op mezelf in Breda en dat begint lastiger te worden omdat het reizen en jezelf onderhouden veel tijd in beslag neemt. Verder ben ik van nature een rustig persoon, hou ik mijn plek schoon en vind het soms heerlijk om te koken :). Ik heb hobbies aan het verzamelen van LP's, tekenen, boeken lezen, en fotografie. Helaas loopt mijn huidige huurcontract af en zoek ik daarom een nieuwe woonplek in Nijmegen. Ik werk in de buurt bij een grote aannemer sinds ik ben afgestudeerd in 2024 aan de TU Delft. Een zelfstandige woning zou ideaal zijn, maar ik vind het nog erg leuk om met huisgenoten te wonen. Voor meer informatie (financieel, gerantstelling etc.) kan je me gerust bellen of mailen.

Hoi, ik ben Joy. Ik kom uit Zuid-Korea en woon momenteel in Nederland, waar ik werk als tandartsassistent terwijl ik bezig ben met het omzetten van mijn diploma om als mondhygiënist te kunnen werken. Mijn hobby’s zijn zwemmen en reizen naar verschillende landen – daarom is Nederland voor mij een perfecte plek om te wonen! Op dit moment denk ik erover om te verhuizen naar een beter huis. Eén van de belangrijkste redenen is dat ik absoluut niet tegen sigarettenrook kan – ik vind de geur echt vreselijk. Ik heb geen huisdieren en ik hou van een rustige leefomgeving. Als ik in een gedeeld huis zou wonen, denk ik dat dat juist een voordeel zou kunnen zijn. Ik hoop snel een fijn en rookvrij huis te vinden!
