Als ik niet werk zit ik op het terras met een hapje en een drankje. Verder ben ik een rustige en lieve buurvrouw die heel af en toe een half uurtje harde muziek luistert.

Outside of my studies I'm into the hardware side of tech, mostly designing PCBs, which is a quiet desk hobby I keep to my own room. But I'm not a hermit, I'm always down for a coffee, a meal, or a night out here and there. I also love traveling and seeing new places, and when I'm winding down you'll usually find me watching anime. I grew up dancing in a Moravian folklore group, and I've played a bunch of instruments over the years (organ, classical and electric guitar, mandolin), though I don't get to them as much these days. I don't smoke, no cigarettes or vapes, and I'm not really a drinker. I'm totally fine with a social household, I just don't need it to be a party every single night. I'm Chani, 27, and I work in quality assurance for medical technology. For the past five years I've built and run the quality systems behind medical devices , most recently as senior QA officer on an autonomous medical robot, and now as quality and risk lead at Niavicta, where I'm also co-founder. I have an M.A. in International Management, with a thesis on the adoption of autonomous medical devices that was graded with distinction, and a B.Sc. in Physiology and Psychology, cum laude. I'm originally from South Africa, where I worked in medical device regulation before moving to the Netherlands in 2023. I've been in Utrecht since then, so this would be a local move rather than a fresh start, I know the area and I'm settled here. Outside work I'm at the gym a few times a week and I walk a lot; it's how I get away from a screen. The rest of my free time mostly goes into programming , I'm usually building something, learning a new tool, or taking a system apart to see how it works. As a housemate I'm tidy, self-sufficient and easy to live alongside. I cook properly, clean up after myself, and I'm not someone who fills the house with people. I like coming home to a calm place at the end of the day. I'm not a student, which in practice means a steady income, a predictable weekday routine, and no plans to move out at the end of a semester.
