Hey friends, it’s my first time venturing out into this form of finding a place while traveling. This is the first summer we are able to stay away from our home for more than 2 weeks and we’re looking for a local experience rather than a hotel (having just left the corporate world). My wife and I are both psychologists and I am a masters student at Oxford University (part time) while we both run a training center in applied mindfulness and psychology. I hold a bachelors in chemical engineering and a double masters in applied positive psychology and mindfulness. My wife is a clinical psychologist. We live in Dubai, where our work and life is built. For this summer we are planning to spend a month in Oxford (as I complete my thesis), a month in Amsterdam, and a month in Portugal — where we have a home (our little fur child — a red haired Shiba Inu — is at our extended family home, we couldn’t bring her with us due to restrictions in the UK 👎). We found a home for our stay at Oxford and now looking for a home for our stay in Amsterdam (or nearby) We are tidy, organized and enjoy quiet mornings and quiet evenings. A cafe nearby to read at and a park and shopping area to enjoy. That for us is an ideal vacation. We have sublet our home in Dubai while traveling before so we understand how important it is to take care of a home and look after it like our own. Hi, I am starting my Master's in Maastricht and I am looking for a nice place with fun roommates :) My name is Nike, I am 23 years old and I am from Germany. I have spent the last 3 years living in Rotterdam for my Bachelor's, and this September I will be starting a Master's in Cognitive Neuroscience in Maastricht. I have been living in shared apartments for the past 5 years, so I am very used to sharing a space and being considerate of the people around me. I like it when a shared apartment feels a bit social, and it's nice to occasionally hang out with the people I live with. I really value good communication and am mindful of keeping shared spaces clean and comfortable for everyone. I enjoy cooking and baking, which tends to work out quite well for the people I live with. My other amazing qualities include being the owner of a somewhat fancy espresso machine and an air fryer. I am pretty easygoing at home and generally like to keep things relaxed. After a long day I am usually happy to unwind for a bit, but I also enjoy spending time together, whether that's cooking, playing games, watching a show, or sharing a glass of wine. Other than that, I enjoy getting out and being active. I like hiking, camping, and going to the gym. I also have a ton of creative hobbies that I can barely keep track of, but lately I have been more into sewing and sketching.
