Hello! My name is Isabelle and I am originally from Canada but I was raised by a Dutch mother and Greek Father. I grew up going to the Netherlands to visit my family often and I consider it a second home. I was recently accepted into the Master of Museum and Heritage Studies program at UvA and I will be starting my studies at the beginning of September. For my Bachelors I focused on art history and gender representation. I am super passionate about supporting under-represented artists in museum and exhibition settings. In the future I would like to work in a museum, gallery or organization that shares these goals. I am looking to move into a cozy living space either by myself or with a few roommates. I would prefer a room that is partly or fully furnished, as I will be moving with only a few suitcases. Personally, I am quite tidy and I really make an effort to keep personal and shared spaces clean. I am looking for roommates that also value a clean space. I love both social time with housemates and time when we can be independent. Having roommates that speak dutch would be awesome as well. I really want to become completely fluent. I love to cook and try out new recipes, so having a fully equipped kitchen is important. As for my hobbies, I enjoy gardening and getting outside for walks/runs. I love to sew clothes and crochet. I also love to go out for a dance once in a while, listen to live music and cook dinner for my friends:) My school program is full time so I will likely be in class or studying at the library most of the week.
