Hoi! Ik ben Sofie, een Belgische die na drie prachtige jaren in Zwitserland vanaf midden november de bergen inruilt voor Nederland. Ik ga als universitair docent aan de Universiteit Leiden werken en ben daarom op zoek naar een fijne, gemeubelde plek in Leiden of omgeving. Ik woon ondertussen al zo’n 10 jaar met anderen samen en vind het oprecht leuk om een huis te delen. Ik zoek daarom graag een gezellig samenhuis met een paar andere werkende huisgenoten, waar iedereen zijn eigen leven heeft, maar waar ook ruimte is voor een spontaan etentje, drankje of praatje. Tegelijk sta ik zeker ook open voor een eigen appartement of studio. Over mij: ik ben sociaal, enthousiast, nieuwsgierig en sportief. Ik werk graag en veel, maar buiten mijn werk vind je me meestal met mijn hardloopschoenen aan, in de klimzaal, in de CrossFitbox of ergens in de natuur. Daarnaast ben ik altijd te vinden voor een goed Belgisch biertje (duh!), een glas wijn, samen koken of eten, een concert of festivalletje. Als huisgenoot ben ik netjes, respectvol en verantwoordelijk. Ik hou van gezelligheid, maar waardeer ook mijn eigen ruimte en die van anderen. I'm Chani, 27, and I work in quality assurance for medical technology. For the past five years I've built and run the quality systems behind medical devices , most recently as senior QA officer on an autonomous medical robot, and now as quality and risk lead at Niavicta, where I'm also co-founder. I have an M.A. in International Management, with a thesis on the adoption of autonomous medical devices that was graded with distinction, and a B.Sc. in Physiology and Psychology, cum laude. I'm originally from South Africa, where I worked in medical device regulation before moving to the Netherlands in 2023. I've been in Utrecht since then, so this would be a local move rather than a fresh start, I know the area and I'm settled here. Outside work I'm at the gym a few times a week and I walk a lot; it's how I get away from a screen. The rest of my free time mostly goes into programming , I'm usually building something, learning a new tool, or taking a system apart to see how it works. As a housemate I'm tidy, self-sufficient and easy to live alongside. I cook properly, clean up after myself, and I'm not someone who fills the house with people. I like coming home to a calm place at the end of the day. I'm not a student, which in practice means a steady income, a predictable weekday routine, and no plans to move out at the end of a semester.
