Hi! My name is Barış, I’m 31 years old and I’ve recently moved to Rotterdam to start my one year Master’s in Law at Erasmus University. I’m a junior lawyer originally from Istanbul and decided to take a year away to do my Master’s. I’ll still be working remotely with my current company on a part-time basis while I’m here. I’m in a position to pay the full year’s rent in advance if that would make things easier for the landlord. I therefore have stable and sufficient financial means to comfortably meet my rental and living expenses. I’m looking for a nice and cool place to live during my time in Rotterdam. I’m a non-smoker, tidy and considerate, and I’m the kind of person who genuinely likes keeping the place I live in nice and well looked after. I’m an environmental scientist currently working full-time as a product developer. Outside of work, I working out, travel, and cook dinner for friends. I’m a non-smoker and I’m not someone who hosts parties, so I value having a calm and comfortable home. Respect towards my previous housemates has always brought the best out of all of us and I intend to keep that up. I work full-time and am financially stable, with substantial savings. I'm Chani, 27, and I work in quality assurance for medical technology. For the past five years I've built and run the quality systems behind medical devices , most recently as senior QA officer on an autonomous medical robot, and now as quality and risk lead at Niavicta, where I'm also co-founder. I have an M.A. in International Management, with a thesis on the adoption of autonomous medical devices that was graded with distinction, and a B.Sc. in Physiology and Psychology, cum laude. I'm originally from South Africa, where I worked in medical device regulation before moving to the Netherlands in 2023. I've been in Utrecht since then, so this would be a local move rather than a fresh start, I know the area and I'm settled here. Outside work I'm at the gym a few times a week and I walk a lot; it's how I get away from a screen. The rest of my free time mostly goes into programming , I'm usually building something, learning a new tool, or taking a system apart to see how it works. As a housemate I'm tidy, self-sufficient and easy to live alongside. I cook properly, clean up after myself, and I'm not someone who fills the house with people. I like coming home to a calm place at the end of the day. I'm not a student, which in practice means a steady income, a predictable weekday routine, and no plans to move out at the end of a semester. I'm looking for somewhere settled for the longer term , at least 1-2 years.
