Mijn sociale leven speelt zich grotendeels hier af en ik geniet enorm van alles wat de stad te bieden heeft: samen eten met vrienden, terrassen, cultuur, wandelen en fietsen. De internationale sfeer, de bereikbaarheid en de energie van de stad passen perfect bij mij. Ik ben rustig in huis, werk vaak vanuit huis en ontvang daarom niet vaak mensen thuis, mijn sociale leven speelt zich vooral buitenshuis af. Ik geniet net zo goed van een avondje op de bank met een film en een goed glas wijn. Ik ben op zoek naar een fijne woonplek in Amsterdam/Haarlem. Dat mag tijdelijk zijn of voor langere tijd; beide opties geven mij de ruimte om rustig verder te kijken en een volgende stap te zetten. Het belangrijkste voor mij is een prettige, stabiele plek waar ik me thuis kan voelen. Het lijkt me leuk om kennis te maken en te kijken of er een match is. Hello, I'm Emilio. I’m 22 years old and will be 23 in May 2026. I was born and raised in Napa, California but have lived in Denver, Colorado for the past 2 years. I have three citizenships, American, Italian and Canadian. I speak English and some Italian, but no Dutch (yet!). I plan on settling into my new home in Amsterdam in June 2026, and will work part-time after getting settled in. I’m willing to rent sooner for the right home to avoid housing chaos. I do have savings and allocate my financial resources responsibly. I enjoy playing video games such as Cities: Skylines, and going to many EDM shows. I’m social but not a big partier. I love travelling and have visited my family in Italy since I was 6 months old. I’m very passionate about non-car centric city planning, which is why I’m going to Amsterdam to study it since I believe they have the best cities in the world. I hope to take that knowledge of the Netherlands and bring it back to the USA to help improve our car-centric cities here. I’m pursuing a Bachelor’s at University of Amsterdam to study Human Geography and Planning, eventually gaining a Masters in a related field. In terms of housing, my preference would be in Amsterdam within a reasonable commute to the Roeterseiland campus, but understand I may need to look further out. I would prefer to live in a private studio, but I’m also open to shared housing. In Denver, I’ve lived with three various other roommates the whole time, and all of us have gotten along very well. I’m very clean and quite quiet, though I do like socializing with my roommates when we’re able to. Having lived with roommates the past 2 years, I’m more than happy to share a space with others and I keep common areas very tidy. I’m excited to meet people from around the world and experience my next chapter.
