I’m a friendly, easy-going and tidy person who enjoys having a nice balance between socialising and having my own space. Dear All, My name is Maxime, I look forward to studying Industrial Engineering at Twente University from this September onwards, and I am therefore looking for welcoming shared apartment in Enschede that I can call home during my studies. I am 19 years old and have lived in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, for the past 18 years, where I attended both English- and German-language schools. I am a German national by origin and therefore often spent my summer holidays in southern Germany, in the Black Forest and the Alpine area south of Munich. Additionally, I’ve travelled to remote parts of the world, particularly in Asia, Europe and the US. I am calm, easy-going and reliable. I fit in easily; I am happy to help and care about creating a home where everyone feels comfortable. At the same time, I am independent and also enjoy spending time on my own. One of my greatest passions is fishing - I was very happy to discover that it is also possible to fish in and around Enschede. For me, fishing includes preparing and cooking the fish afterwards - something family and friends in Abu Dhabi have always enjoyed, and which I would be happy to share with my housemates too. I also love downhill skiing in the Alps and once in Japan, as my challenge is moguls. When skiing in Austria, I always look forward to the traditional dish Kaiserschmarrn. Another passion of mine is solving Rubik’s cubes in all kinds of shapes, sizes and styles—so if anyone in the house ever has a cube that needs solving, I will be happy to help! Also happy to have a round of table tennis together. I also love movies, especially older films with strong stories, meaningful messages, and great acting—for example, Quentin Tarantino's films. Dat mag tijdelijk zijn of voor langere tijd; beide opties geven mij de ruimte om rustig verder te kijken en een volgende stap te zetten. Het belangrijkste voor mij is een prettige, stabiele plek waar ik me thuis kan voelen. Het lijkt me leuk om kennis te maken en te kijken of er een match is.
