Nieuwe stad, nieuwe studie, nieuwe mensen — daar heb ik zin in! Ik ben Floris, bijna 18, uit Liempde (NB) en ik start deze zomer met Geschiedenis aan de Universiteit Utrecht. Ik ben nieuwsgierig en geïnteresseerd in hoe dingen zijn ontstaan en waarom de wereld eruitziet zoals hij nu is. Naast studeren ben ik graag actief bezig. Ik hockey fanatiek, speel gitaar en wil in Utrecht gaan roeien en het studentenleven ontdekken. In huis ben ik sociaal, open en makkelijk in de omgang. Ik vind het leuk om met huisgenoten om te gaan, maar ben ook prima zelfstandig en houd het netjes. My latest design was a wedding dress I created for Bridal Barcelona Fashion Week for the Parisian designer Stéphane Rolland. I work at a clothes shop called Urban Outfitters in Barcelona, but I’m due to be transferred to the Amsterdam Urban. I’ve always wanted to live abroad, have new experiences, enjoy a change of scenery, meet new people and discover new cities – in this case, Amsterdam. I’d describe myself as a very artistic and creative person; I’m fascinated by everything to do with art, such as fashion, museums, music, cinema and paintings… I always lived with my parents and my dog, whom we recently adopted from an animal shelter. Ik ga regelmatig naar de sportschool en ben altijd in voor sportieve activiteiten. Daarom ga ik natuurlijk zodra ik kan bij een sportvereniging aansluiten. Daarnaast ben ik gek op (bord)spellen en zeg ik nooit nee tegen een gezellige avond samen. Momenteel heb ik een tussenjaar en werk ik als ober in een lunchroom. Daar vind ik het superleuk om met collega’s en klanten te praten en nieuwe mensen te leren kennen.
