Hello there! I'm a self-employed multidisciplinary creative professional (photographer/creative director/media background) who relocated to the Netherlands from the U.S. in February. I have a valid visa & residence permit, a business registered with the KvK, a growing network of Dutch friends and a sense of community, having previously spent extended stays in the NL twice in two years. This time, my move is permanent. I have never felt more at home than I do with my feet in the ground in the Netherlands. I am in LOVE with Het Gooi region, where I'm and am temporarily staying. I know every trail, every neighborhood, farm and public transport access from Bussum, Huizen and Blaricum to Laren and Hilversum. I'm also familiar with Naarden, LOVE Baarn, Hoorn, Haarlem, Amersfoot and Den Haag - where I have friends. I'm aware of the housing shortage, and will happily consider any availability within a 90-minute commute by public transportation to Amsterdam, where much of my work seems to be. I have an excellent rental history and personal references and I care for my space. I have a green thumb, love people, adore animals, art, am newly enthusiastic about golf, opera, and even the raindrops most complain about - there's serenity in gray days, too! I would love my independence and a studio or apartment, but I also understand the housing shortage yields few or unaffordable rentals, so I'd be open to discussing sharing in a bright, comfortable place with someone kind and respectful, who appreciates some privacy and room to breathe. :) I have no pets, but huge bonus if you do! ;) Registration is necessary. Momenteel rond ik mijn eerste studiejaar af en voor mijn tweede jaar ben ik op zoek naar een gezellig en meer permanente woonplek. Ik zoek een kamer (minimaal 16 m²) of studio binnen ongeveer 15–20 minuten fietsen van de universiteit, met een huurprijs tot €1000. Ik sta open voor het delen van faciliteiten met maximaal 3 huisgenoten. Naast mijn studie ben ik actief en sociaal ingesteld. Ik sport regelmatig (taekwondo en zwemmen bij het Studentensportcentrum) en ben recent begonnen met bachata lessen. Ook vind ik het leuk om af en toe bordspellen te spelen of gewoon gezellig te praten met huisgenoten. Ik ben niet echt een feestganger, maar ik waardeer een gezellige en open sfeer in huis. Ik ben een nette en rustige student, rook niet, drink geen alcohol en heb geen huisdieren. Doordeweeks ben ik vaak op de universiteit te vinden om te studeren. In het weekend bezoek ik meestal mijn oma in Gennep, en tijdens vakanties ga ik soms naar familie in Thailand. Voor huur en borg staat mijn vader garant. Idealiter zoek ik een plek waar ik minimaal 12 maanden kan blijven, zodat ik een stabiele basis heb voor mijn studie.
