I hope to take that knowledge of the Netherlands and bring it back to the USA to help improve our car-centric cities here. In terms of housing, my preference would be in Amsterdam within a reasonable commute to the Roeterseiland campus, but understand I may need to look further out. I would prefer to live in a private studio, but I’m also open to shared housing. In Denver, I’ve lived with three various other roommates the whole time, and all of us have gotten along very well. I’m very clean and quite quiet, though I do like socializing with my roommates when we’re able to. Having lived with roommates the past 2 years, I’m more than happy to share a space with others and I keep common areas very tidy. I'm a long-time self-employed multidisciplinary creative professional (photographer/creative director/media background) pursuing fluency in Dutch, recently relocated the Netherlands (Feb. 1st, 2026) via a DAFT Visa. I have a valid residence permit, a network of Dutch friends and a sense of community, having spent extended stays in the NL twice in two years. This time, my move is permanent. I have never felt more at home than I do with my feet in the ground in the Netherlands. I am in LOVE with Het Gooi region, and am currently staying in Huizen. I know every trail, every neighborhood, farm and public transport access from Huizen and Blaricum to Laren and Hilversum. I'm also familiar with Bussum and LOVE Baarn.
