My name is Fernando Rodríguez Barroso. I am a third-year student at Leiden University, studying International Relations and Organisations (Political Science). Born and raised in Jerez de la Frontera, I am Spanish and have lived there until I was 18, when I went to study in the United States for a year. I have been living in The Hague for two years now, but my connection to the Netherlands goes back over eight years, thanks to a close family friendship in Amsterdam. I speak Spanish and English fluently, and I already have a good command of Dutch, although I intend to keep improving it until I can speak it with fluency. For the time being, I plan to continue studying for my master’s degree in the Netherlands, as I feel very at home in this country and its culture. I consider myself a respectful, easygoing and open-minded person. I like to be organized and create an atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable. About me: I am Bernardo, but everyone calls me Bernie, I am 21 years old (22 in August :)), I am from Portugal and this will be my second year living abroad in the Netherlands, as a student. To continue my MSc in Biomedical engineering at the university of the Twente, I will be doing an internship at the Radboud University Medical Center from September to January (winter semester). For this reason, I am looking for housing approximately within that period! I am used to shared living, and I am absolutely comfortable living with any gender. I like to socialize and chill with my roommates, whether to do more cozy activities like playing games, watching movies and cooking or to grab a drink and go on a night out. In terms of shared living, I would say that I am a respectful person, always being aware of the noise I make, while being tidy and give my roommates their space!
