I’ll be starting my MSc in Information Security Technology at TU/e this August/September, with full support from the ALSP scholarship (covers tuition + annual €7,500 stipend). I graduated top of my class at Marmara University and have been living alone for the past 3.5 years — fully managing my own household and finances. This experience has made me responsible, tidy, and used to taking care of a home on my own. I’m respectful of others’ routines and value calm, clean, and safe environments. I don’t enjoy loud noise for long periods, but I don’t mind occasional lively moments — I usually study with noise-cancelling headphones and won’t be disturbed easily. I’m friendly, open to socializing, but also very comfortable doing my own thing when needed. I’m planning to arrive in July or August, but I’m happy to rent earlier to secure a reliable place in advance. Also, I’ll look for a part-time job and/or internship if I can once I settle in. Nederlands Hallo! Mijn naam is Laia, ik ben 17 jaar oud en ik zit in mijn laatste jaar van de middelbare school (International Baccalaureate). Ik kom uit Barcelona, Spanje, maar ik heb ook een paar jaar in de VS gewoond (dus Engels zal geen probleem zijn). Ik ga in augustus naar Eindhoven verhuizen om Technische Bedrijfskunde te studeren aan de TUe, dus ik ben op zoek naar woonruimte (kamer, studio, appartement) voor de lange termijn met inschrijving. Ik ben erg enthousiast over mijn verhuizing naar Nederland, dus ik ben Nederlands aan het leren in Duolingo (178 dagen streak!) en ik zal actief proberen Nederlands te leren als ik daar eenmaal ben. Een klein beetje over mij: Ik ben een opgeruimd persoon die respect heeft voor gedeelde ruimtes. Ik hou van uitgaan en ik ben altijd in voor een leuke tijd, maar ik hou ook van avonden in een film kijken of iets meer chill. Ik vind het leuk om nieuwe mensen te ontmoeten en te lachen.
