Hey there! We’re Elisa and Valentin, an easygoing German couple who moved to Amsterdam last summer for our master’s degrees. We’ve been together for six years and absolutely love living here - cycling everywhere, exploring the Netherlands and diving into our studies. Now that our student housing is ending, we’re looking for a long-term place to call home. A bit about us: Elisa is studying Physics and will start her Master thesis soon. She loves cooking (especially vegetarian dishes), and doing yoga. Valentin is finishing his Masters in Environment and Resource Management and has been active as resident assistant in our student building, organizing events and helping other international students. In Amsterdam, he especially enjoys exploring the museums. Income situation: We currently both receive full scholarships from different German organizations that total 3000 € per month and we also have some savings. After the summer Valentin will start working as electrical engineer and Elisa will continue to receive her scholarship. As tenants, we’re: Respectful but relaxed. We’re not the type to stress over a few dishes in the sink, but we’ll never leave a mess. We are involved in our work/studies, but we love meeting new people and sharing meals. Reliable. We pay rent on time, communicate openly, and just want a comfy place to live. What we’d love: A room or apartment in Amsterdam (or nearby, with a reasonable commute), whether that’s with housemates or just us. Ideally under 2200€, but we’re flexible for the right spot. Having two separate rooms would be perfect, but we are also used to living together on tight space. We’re not super picky, just looking for somewhere cozy, practical, and with good vibes. Ik ben Jet, 29 jaar en heb net ong. 3 jaar voor een master in NYC gewoond en ben nu weer opzoek naar een woonruimte in Nederland, omgeving Amsterdam/Utrecht. Ik heb 7 jaar als dans docent gewerkt en heb zojuist mijn master in Dance/Movement Therapy cum laude afgerond. In Nederland ga ik zsm opzoek naar werk, maar een huisje in de randstad is voor mij het fijnst, omdat ik voorheen ook in de randstad gewoond heb en hier dus mijn netwerk is (voor werk en privé). Bij mijn ouders wonen is weer niet zo handig, want die zitten helemaal in 't oosten van het land. Eind zomer komt mijn vriend ook vanuit Amerika naar NL en we zoeken dus het liefst iets waar we uiteindelijk met zijn tweeën in kunnen. Maar als ik eerst tijdelijk iets voor mezelf heb is dat ook prima. Hij zit in de IT/tech sales industrie. Ik ben rustig van aard, zorg heel goed voor mijn woonruimte omdat een fijn thuis heel belangrijk is voor mij als basis. Ik hou van decoreren en het huis zo gezellig mogelijk maken, ben ook een echte huismus. Verder hou ik van eropuit gaan, de stad in, met vrienden eten, wandelen, met familie zijn, etc. Ik kan niet wachten om weer in NL te wonen! Wie oh wie kan mij helpen aan een fijne stek? :)
