EXPATS AND INTERNATIONALS!

I am a 38 year old single man who likes having international, expat, roommates. I'm planning to become a digital nomad in about 3 years time. 

There are two rooms available as of the 1st of April so I'm looking for two roommates who work steady jobs, are preferably in their 30s and are fluent in English.  

The apartment is a clean and relaxed space where you can unwind, so partying, alcohol and drugs can be enjoyed in the city but not at home. 

I like working out at the gym around the corner, skating, gaming, watching movies and throwing LAN parties with friends to play games together. I'm also studying to become a hacker. It would be nice if you're into these things too, but it is not a requirement of course. 

This is a large and luxurious apartment in Utrecht on the other side of the Hogeweidebrug. You are not only renting a room but can also use all the toys that the apartment has to offer and this is quite the bachelor pad. 

These include two custom gaming PCs with 34 inch ultra wide screens, super fast gigabit Ethernet both wired and WIFI, a NAS with a large film collection of movies and series that you can stream on all devices in the house, a 200 inch projector screen and projector in the living room on which all games can be streamed from the PC and all movies from the NAS, Nintendo Switch and Xbox360, Nvidia Shield Pro, 65 inch 4k television, 3 electric skateboards that can reach 50 km per hour, a private patio on the top floor of the building with artificial grass and a hammock.

The apartment is located on the top floor and is excellently insulated. There is only 1 adjacent neighbor, so the sound from the soundbar can be loud without complaints from neighbors. There is a private parking space in the garage on the ground floor where a car can be parked and bicycles can be placed. The garage gate is electric. There is also a private storage room on the ground floor, but I prefer you don't bring to much stuff with you since the apartment already has everything you need. Furthermore, parking is free in the entire neighborhood and there is always enough space. 

The building also comes with a huge courtyard made of artificial grass, benches and lighting which looks beautiful at night. 

Public transport connections are excellent. There are two train stations about a 5 minute bike ride away which take you right into the heart of the city center withing 10 minutes.

Both rooms are very spacious, about 20m2 and comes with high quality dark brown laminated floors and curtains. The walls are painted white. One of the rooms is completely furnished, the other one is not. The furniture needs to be bought from my previous roommate, who you will get to meet, he is also an expat. These negotiations are between you and him so I won't be involved. 

The other room is empty. The room can be furnished as you please. It will be first come, first serve, when deciding which room you get. The initial stay will be for 6 months, after that time we can see if we extend.  

So you will be living with me and another expat, but as you have read above, you get much more than just a room. 

The vibe in this apartment has always been very chilled with the people that lived with me and I hope to keep it that way. I also believe in transparency and trust, that's why you get to meet my last roommate and your future roommate. 

It is important to me that we all get along well so I might ask you and the other roommate to come back for a second time to maybe do something a bit more relaxed like going into town for a night to see if the three of us vibe. If that sounds cool to you, please apply! 

The price of the furnished room is €1100 per month, the unfurnished room is €1000 per month. This includes gas, electric, etc. Negotiation is not appreciated.
