Looking for an independent, clean, and respectful tenant.

You must be a non-smoker and have no criminal records to be taken into consideration as a prospective tenant. Pets are not allowed (there is already a cat present here).

The room is available right away, as of February 2025 till indefinitely. The monthly rent of 750 euros includes all utilities (heating, electricity, water, and internet). The security deposit is 1000 euros. Registration is mandatory and internationals are welcome to apply as well :)

Property

In our home, we’ve got an 11.7 m2 private room that's cosy and bright with large windows, offering a lovely view of the greenery and water outside. The room is on the side of a quiet residential area, away from the busy road, making it a peaceful retreat after a long day.

Our apartment has been recently renovated and has a homey, modern feel to it. The private room is also freshly renovated and has furniture that's either new or in excellent condition. You'll have all the basic furniture you need, including an extendable bed with a mattress, wardrobe, dresser, shoe cabinet, and a large corner desk with a chair. Good to know, the room is lockable for your privacy and peace of mind.

We've also got a newly renovated toilet, bathroom, and kitchen. Most of the appliances are new, including a modern induction hob, oven, and high-end dryer. We've also got smaller appliances like a water cooker and microwave, as well as crockery and cutlery, which you're welcome to use as long as you take care of them. You'll have your own private storage space in the kitchen (your own section for the cabinets and fridge) and bathroom (own shelves). In total, you will be sharing it with 2 other people (one couple).

Our spacious apartment is at an ideal central location close to the lively shopping center and Hollands Spoor railway station and just steps away from many public transport possibilities, including a tram stop is right in front of the building. Not only that, but you'll also have access to multiple supermarkets within a five-minute walk. The Hague University is right around the corner with just a two-minute walk away, and Leiden University The Hague Campus is just an eight-minute cycle or three quick tram stops away. Your private storage is located on the ground floor, making it easy to store your bicycle  to get around the city quickly.

Who we are looking for

At our residence, we have one friendly and shy cat, so we are looking for a housemate who is not allergic to cats and does not mind having him around. We understand that personal space is important, and we value that as well. You can expect a clean, peaceful, and comfortable home with considerate housemates who respect each other's boundaries. We are independent and mostly introverted, preferring to keep to ourselves, but we still maintain a respectful and friendly atmosphere in the house.

We understand that our home is a place to recharge, and we prefer to keep guests to a minimum. We kindly ask that guests are received in your room for the most part and that you do not invite strangers too often in the house. Our home is well-organized and we have a weekly rotating cleaning schedule to keep the house neat.
