Over de woonruimte

Hoi, aangezien niet iedereen in het huis Nederlands spreekt, is het wel zo handig dat de toekomstige huurder ook Engels spreekt. Vandaar dat ik mij de moeite bespaar om de Engelse tekst te vertalen:

Hi all,

Hope you're all enjoying the last months of 2025. But in case you have too much money left over every month, and you just don’t know what to do with it, I have the perfect thing to spend it on… A small room in Amsterdam.

The apartment is located in the Old-West (Yeehaaw) part of the city. Dam square, Leidseplein are both only 5-10 mins away depending on weather/traffic and your personal biking style (#ludicrousmode). The room is available right away for one person only.

The room is furnished and a whopping 10m2. It has a bed, a private sink (how’s that for luxury), a desk with chair and a built-in clothing closet (not visible in the pics). 

Kitchen, balcony and bathroom you'll share with me (an old 4th year medical student and, until the spring of 2026, one other person. The building also has a large communal garden (basically a small park) where you can pretend you're not actually in the heart of the city. Seriously, you could be waking up to parakeets on your balcony. 

Right now, aside from the kitchen and balcony, there is no real communal area except for the cosy hallway. However, starting somewhere in spring 2026 the other bedroom will be turned into a communal living room and then you'll really be able to put your feet up.

The room is available for an indefinite period and registration is possible.
The rent is an obscene €770,-/month excl. with €180,- for utilities/furnishing/taxes/service cost/internet etc. Coming to a total of € 950,-. And I'll need €1.500,-  as a refundable (provided you don't wreck the place) deposit.

You’ll be sharing the apartment with me, 4th year med-student (m) and one more roommate(?).

I’ve been saying this for a while (so don’t get your hopes up) but I will probably be getting a cat at some point. So if you're allergic, this might not be the place for you.
