A room will become available in a two-bedroom apartment in a quiet area of Amsterdam Oost, close to the UvA Roeterseiland Campus.

The location is very convenient: the metro and supermarket are about a 1-minute walk away, and the riverside is around 5 minutes away on foot.

The apartment

The apartment has two bedrooms, a kitchen, one bathroom and a separate dining room. There is no living room. Both the kitchen and one of the bedrooms have access to a balcony.

The shared areas are kept clean and tidy. Please note that the photos were taken previously, so some furniture and details in the apartment have changed since then.

I am currently a second-year Chinese male university student, and I am looking for a housemate for the other bedroom.

Rent & additional costs

The rent is below the current market rate for the area, and the exact amount can be discussed.

Registration at the address is possible. However, the room is not eligible for housing allowance (huurtoeslag).

Utilities and other shared housing costs, including service/property-related costs, are divided between the two occupants. These costs are approximately €400 per month in total for both people, so roughly €200 per person, depending on actual usage and costs.

The landlord also requires professional cleaning once every two months. The cost of the cleaner is shared equally between the two occupants.

Who I'm looking for

I’m looking for someone who is clean, considerate, easy to get along with, and willing to help keep the shared spaces tidy.

To maintain a quiet and comfortable home, overnight guests, parties, smoking and drinking alcohol in the apartment are not allowed.
