A beautiful home in the heart of Alkmaar, amidst the diverse birds and the chiming of the old city clocks — it brings about a special vibe distinct to the location. One street behind the house is the Saturday market, and within a minute walking distance you're in the busy shopping street. Around the house are lovely cafés, supermarkets, essential shops, and the same familiar faces every day. Around Christmas, the centre is gorgeous with all the lights and reflections, and in summer you can kayak around the city through the canals.

The house is clean — no‑shoes‑inside policy. Tidy, clean up once done, sink always clear. There are also a lot of windows that keep it breathing and give it a warm vibe with all the light coming through.

I'm 32, a working professional with a film degree. I work remotely three times a week and I'm off on weekends. You're more than welcome to work from home at the same time; the living room is spacious enough for that, though not the bedroom available for rent, unless you find a way to squeeze things around.

I'm looking for someone temporarily — minimum 8 months, maximum 1 year. We can discuss if you need to stay longer, just make sure to bring it up. Ideally you're around the same age as me, a student or working professional. Non‑smoker. Someone who’s easygoing, clean and respectful of shared spaces.

- The cinema is just 10 minutes walk, or 4 minutes run.
