Important: as I'm leaving Nijmegen soon, I need someone who would be able to do a viewing on a short-term basis. Ideally after the viewing you would make the decision on the same day.

Hi guys! I'll be doing an internship in Brussels very soon. Therefore, I'm subletting my studio in SSH& Heidepark.

The studio is fully furnished. Pretty much all of the pieces of furniture you can see in the pictures will be included. This also means the electric hob, cutlery/pans, the oven and microwave, and the laundry rack. You'll have to bring your own cover, duvet, pillows etc. for the bed. For a couple of things, I'm not sure whether I'll have enough space to take them with me, so I might leave them in the studio for you to use (but I'm not sure yet). This includes the vacuum cleaner, the coffee maker and the kettle. If I can't take them with me, you're free to use them. The shared terrace is also visible in one of the pictures. It's usually empty, and as you can see it's very close to the studio within the building. Lastly, there's also a shared laundry room with a washing machine (no dryer, sadly, but there are laundry lines).

You'll be getting a subletting contract with me, and a declaration of approval provided by SSH&. You can use this declaration to complete your registration at the municipality, should they require any documents from you.

The costs are 890 euros per month, including gas/water/electricity and internet, as well as the compensation for using the furniture. This is more than what SSH& is asking for a room like this right now (about 730 a month), but the difference is that in that case you would've had to have brought your own furniture and bought and lain your own floor. For the sake of transparency: I'll be paying a higher rent than this in Brussels, and so part of the reason I'm asking more is that I'll need to put money towards that as well. As I'll remain the official main renter, you sadly won't be eligible for rent subsity (huurtoeslag).

! Important!
In order to get permission from SSH& to sublet the studio, you'll need to be a registered student at Radboud or HAN, and be registered as a person seeking a living space with SSH&. If this is not the case, you can't get permission to sublet the studio. PhD students sadly are not eligible. Please explicitly let me know in your message that you understand this and that you comply with both requirements. Thank you!
