Hi!

From December 1st, I’m looking for a new housemate to share a spacious and bright apartment on Toermalijnlaan, Utrecht (80 m2total). You will have two rooms of 8.5 and 6.5 m2. The apartment also has a mostly furnished living room (25 m2), a bathroom (+ separate toilet), a kitchen, and a lovely balcony. The location is ideal! It’s just a 5-minute walk to Smaragdplein (Lidl, PLUS, Kruidvat, Blokker), and you can cycle to the center of Utrecht in 10 minutes. Additionally, the apartment complex has a private parking space. The total rent is around €870 per month inclusive.

You will be sharing the apartment with me, Merel (24 years old). I recently graduated from the research master’s program in Neuroscience & Cognition and will start in November as a research assistant in the field of brain and behavioral development in young children. I have been living in this apartment for almost six years now and still love this cozy place. I also enjoy ‘gardening’ on the lovely balcony, and if the sun is out, you can definitely find me there! Additionally, I really like cooking and baking.

What I’m looking for in a housemate:

• You are a (PhD) student at the start of the rental contract

• You are at least 24 years old

• You’ve lived independently before

• You are tidy and value keeping the apartment clean and organized

• You enjoy occasionally eating together or having a cozy movie (+ wine) night!

It is a temporary contract for 2 years, and registration with the municipality is mandatory. The apartment will be fully replastered and painted in November, so it will look neat and fresh! The viewing evening will take place on Thursday, October 24th.
