About the place

Hi!

My name is Noemi, I’m 25 years old, and starting from the end of July/beginning of August, I’m looking for a housemate who would like to create a warm, welcoming home together with me in my new apartment in Lombok, Utrecht. I just moved in myself with someone whose plans unfortunately changed unexpectedly, which is why I’m now looking for someone else!

The apartment itself is 72m² and is located on Laan van Nieuw Guinea, about a 10-minute bike ride from the city center. It’s right by the water, close to De Munt, and next to Kanaalstraat, a lively and vibrant shopping street, so it’s a very cozy neighborhood to live in. The rent is €900 per person, including utilities.

A bit about me:
I grew up in Utrecht but have also lived in New York, Los Angeles, and Amsterdam over the past few years. I studied at the New York Film Academy, and after graduating during the pandemic, I couldn’t continue working in the US, which is why I came back to the Netherlands. I now work in film and write screenplays. Besides that, I have worked in hospitality for many years and occasionally do some home care work. I’m a very social person, but I also really value having my own time and space.

Who/what I’m looking for:
I’m looking for someone who is preferably already working and has moved past the student phase. I find it really important that we get along personally and can do things together while sharing a warm household, creating a sense of truly coming home to each other while still respecting each other’s personal space. Of course, apart from having our own rooms, we will be sharing the rest of the apartment, so it’s important that we’re on the same page about how we want to live together. I also find it important to keep the house clean and that we both contribute to maintaining that. It doesn’t matter to me if you’re Dutch or not, as long as we can at least communicate in English with each other. I’m a creative person, so it would be fun if you share some ambitions in that direction, but ultimately, it’s all about having a good connection.
