About the place

Are you handy, motivated, and looking for affordable housing? In Schiedam, a self-contained student room is immediately available in an apartment that requires some maintenance. The rent is exceptionally low: only €100 per month. In return, we ask that you spend several hours a week on renovation tasks in the property. Think of painting, small repairs, and garden maintenance. There are also larger repairs needed, so preference will be given to a tenant who can carry these out, or at least take the lead in arranging them through third parties (for example, by posting the job on Werkspot). Costs for materials, etc., will be covered by the landlord.

The room is about 12 m², has plenty of natural light, and is located on the ground floor. The contract runs for six months and then ends automatically, making it an ideal temporary and affordable housing solution.

We are looking for a student with a driver’s license (preferably with their own car) who is reliable, genuinely skilled at DIY, and enjoys doing it.
