Bus stops to Amsterdam on either side of house, 2-3 min walk.

The bus to Amsterdam Noord takes 17 minutes.  You can also transfer at Ilpendam to take the bus to Amsterdam Centraal(about 25 - 30 min).

Edam/Volendam, Monnickendam, Zaandam, and Zaanse Schans are all 30-40 minute bike rides from the house.  Biking to Amsterdam takes about 1hr.
