About the place

A room in a flat is becoming available as of 1st November and will be available until April. The room is in a beautiful, large 1-bedroom apartment (60m²) that is shared with one other person, Milica. It's located near the Hereweg in the Rivierenbuurt and is about a 7 minute cycle to the centre of Groningen and a 10 minute cycle to the RUG. The apartment is on the ground floor, with a small garden and balcony and has a lovely view of trees in the Sterrebos. When you enter, you come into an open kitchen and living area. The kitchen has 2 fridges, a dishwasher, induction plate and combi microwave oven. There is a nice dining table and a shelf for food We have a large sofa that is very comfortable! There is a new bathroom and a separate room with a washing machine and dryer. The bedroom is large and bright with 2 windows. Some furniture may be available to be taken over, but the details of that have to be discussed. 
Milica's bed is also in the living room, and so it's important for us to find someone nice who will respect her privacy while in the shared spaces.
Please note that this is a sublet with permission from the landlord and you will be able to register at the municipality. This is a short term rental, suitable for students on exchange/Erasmus.

Hi! My name is Milica, i’m 22 years old and I’m a student of BA European Languages and Cultures at RUG. I’m in my final semester of uni, writing my thesis and working part-time. I’m a relatively quiet but friendly person, i enjoy reading and watching films, dancing and figure skating. As a housemate I am considerate of others’ space and time, i do my best to always keep the common areas clean and tidy (although my desk always looks like a mess and exam season has been known to get the better of me…). I appreciate a friendly atmosphere and good communication in the house, and i find it nice to sometimes sit down for a cup of tea/coffee and chat with my housemate.
Ideally, i’m looking for another (non-male) student to share the house with, doesn’t matter which level of studies (bachelor’s, master’s, PhD), but a working person is also alright, as long as they are considerate of the fact that as a student my schedule is not always the most consistent.
