Dear Room Seeker,

My name is Kim, proud resident of Huize Batjas. Starting February, I will be studying abroad for a semester, which means I’ll be subletting my room from February 1, 2025, to July 31, 2025. My room will remain fully furnished and has plenty of storage space for clothing and other belongings. You can see the room in the attached photos.

We are Huize Batjas, and we are looking for a temporary new housemate!

Our family consists of 14 residents, an even mix of men and women, university students and vocational trainees, club members and non-members, fitness fanatics and couch potatoes. Everyone’s welcome, and nothing’s too crazy!

We’re located just 5 minutes away from Saxion University and 15 minutes from the University of Twente. Supermarkets are within walking distance, and the bars are close enough to crawl home from.

Our student house has three floors, each with its own living room, kitchen, two toilets, a shower, and a laundry room, shared with four other housemates. We also have a beautiful rooftop terrace, perfect for summer barbecues, and two living rooms with balconies that double as extra frying space or a smoking spot.

We are an active, spontaneous, yet non-obligatory student house where we eat together daily and always have room for spontaneous activities like going out, pub quizzes, bowling, and more. Annually, we host a big house party, a festive holiday dinner, a date dinner, and even go on a house weekend. Additionally, we take part in the Enschede Marathon, attend festivals like Onder de Radar and Basic Grooves, and, during busy study periods, we even study hard together for exams.
