Dear Room Seeker!

My name is Kim, currently the proud resident of Huize Batjas, and I’ll be studying abroad for a semester starting in February. That means I’ll be subletting my room from February 1, 2025, to July 31, 2025. My room is fully furnished and has plenty of storage space for things like clothing. You can check out my room in the attached photos.

About Huize Batjas
We are Huize Batjas!
Our “family” consists of 14 residents: a perfect mix of genders, college and university students, social members and independents, sporty types, and the occasional couch potato—basically, anything goes, and nothing is too crazy. :)

Saxion University of Applied Sciences is only a 5-minute walk away, and the University of Twente is 15 minutes by bike. There are supermarkets just around the corner, and the pubs are within crawling distance of our house.

Our student house has three floors, each with a living room, a kitchen, two toilets, a shower, and a laundry room shared with four other housemates. We also have a beautiful rooftop terrace where we often barbecue in the summer, and two of our living rooms have balconies that can be used as extra snack-frying zones or smoking areas.

We’re an active, spontaneous, and easygoing student house where people cook and eat together daily, and there’s always room for spontaneous activities like going out, pub quizzes, bowling—you name it. We also organize an annual house party, a Sinterkerst (Sinterklaas + Christmas) dinner, a date dinner, and a house weekend. On top of that, we traditionally participate in the Enschede Marathon, attend festivals like Onder de Radar and Basic Grooves, and, oh yeah, we study hard together during exam periods. :)
