About the place

Pleasant room in modern, spacious, luxiurious, and centrally located apartment with a lot of light and great views over Amsterdam. Available from end of April/beginngin of May, until the end of October 2024, possibly longer.

I spend a lot of time abroad, but I love being in this comfortable apartment. It would be great to offer another friendly person the chance to enjoy this lovely place.

You can move right into your own private room, which comes furnished. I or you can tweak it to your preferences so you will feel even more at home.

There's fast and reliable glass fibre internet, a large living room, two toilets, a spacious bathroom with large bathtub, a lot of plants and a fully equipped kitchen.

The neighbourhood is very centrally located and truly unique. There is a lot of space and it's full of old warehouses mixed with modern architecture. The long waterfront/quay is where people run, have a bbq, or have a dive. It's ideally located on the same street as central station. Both the medieval City Centre and hip Amsterdam Oost (East) are 5 to 10 minutes by bike and any other part of the city van easily be reached. Interesting nearby places include the sunny Marineterrein and Bogortuinen, Javastraat, Oosterpark, Nieuwmarkt, Waterlooplein and the Czaar Peterstraat. 

Booking's, JustEast TakeAway's, and TomTom's headquarters and several other (international) company offices are nearby or even in the same street.

There are both simple eateries as well as unique restaurants around the corner, V R R, Bonboon, Scheepskameel, Choux, to name a few. There are 4 different supermarkets around the corner. The nearest speciality coffee can be found at gezellige Barmhartig. Cool nearby bars include Hannekes Boom and Brouwerij 't IJ. There are a lot of great small shops with local produce and other special products like nature wine. In case you want to explore, there's a lesser known free ferry nearby that brings you to hip North in no time.

I'm an optimistic and internationally oriented man in my thirties. I try to make cities a little better with my work as entrepreneur in the sharing economy. I live an active and social life and enjoy eating and drinking, cooking, sports, being outdoors, having friends over, and exploring the world. But I also like to chill and have a good night's sleep. I spend about 40% of my time abroad.

I don't care about your background, as long as you have a good heart, are friendly and reliable. I get along with most people and I have spend a lot of time abroad and have both Dutch and international friends, so used to different cultures. You should feel at home and enjoy being here and of course you will have all the privacy in your own room. I do prefer someone who has an active life, is social and gets out of the house and doesn't lock them self up in their room to play videogames.
