Swammerdamstraat
About the place
Flatmate wanted for apartment in prime location! The bigger bedroom in the apartment will become available, and I'm looking for a new flatmate. That could be you! Please read the description below carefully and only respond if you meet the requirements. Rental price mentioned is the price for the bigger bedroom (and use of the rest of the apartment), including G/W/E and internet. Location & apartment: The apartment is around the corner from the city centre, the Amstel, the Amstel Hotel, De Pijp, the University of Amsterdam (UvA), and the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (HvA). Albert Heijn supermarket and Wibautstraat metro station are a five-minute walk away. Amsterdam city centre and all the other trendy spots in De Pijp are within easy walking distance. This is the best location in Amsterdam: fewer tourists, as most stick to the centre and the main tourist attractions, but you’ll still be living in the heart of the city! The back of the apartment is looking out on the quiet back-gardens of our neighbours, and the trees are beautifully blooming in spring and summer. The apartment is partly furnished; the room you will rent is unfurnished. Bedrooms: The apartment has two bedrooms, one larger and one smaller. Both are at the quiet rear side, overlooking the back gardens of the neighbours. A photo is available of the bigger bedroom that you'll be renting. Current tenant: You’ll have one housemate — a 38-year-old man. He is friendly and social. He enjoys working out, running, cycling, reading, hiking, and relaxing at home. He leads a lifestyle without many parties and only occasionally has easy going and relaxed visitors. Your status on the rental contract: The landlord will likely list you as a co-occupant and not as a co-tenant. This comes with different rights and responsibilities. Most importantly, if the main tenant (me) moves out, you as the co-occupant will also have to leave the property. Requirements for the flatmate: - Maximum 1 flatmate — no couples (this also means no boyfriend/girlfriend staying over several nights a week!) or friends. If you don’t meet this, please don’t respond — let’s save both of us the time. - Employed, or business owner with minimum of two-year provable track-record with the tax-authorities - Minimum provable net income of €4,000/month (must be shown to the landlord with recent payslips or tax declarations in case you're a business owner) - No pets - Non-smoker (including no weed) and no other drug use - No regular parties at home or large, noisy gatherings. The tenant values a calm home and wants to maintain peace in the house. No regular visitors throughout the week. If you think you meet the description above and are interested based on what you’ve read, please send me a message! We can then arrange a viewing and get to meet each other in person.
