The Noorderpark or the city forest 'Vliegenbos' are also within walking/cycling distance.

Cycling or walking down the street you are within a few minutes in the largest nature reserve of Amsterdam; Rural North, Twiske and Waterland with picturesque villages, stretched countryside, dikes and lakes for a nice bike, walk or boat trip. Still want to go downtown Amsterdam? Get on the metro stop and be at Central Station within 5 minutes or at the Albert Cuyp market within 3 minutes!
