About the place

I rent part of my house near Abcoude, with a separate entrance, to CURRENTLY REGISTERED STUDENTS ONLY :  3 bedrooms in total, each with 140cm wide double bed, that share their own living room, kitchen, shower room and WC. It is beautiful and quiet here, 10 mins or so by bicycle to Amsterdam's  Gein Metro or to Abcoude train station. Free private parking in my drive.

Just ONE room is becoming available from 1 October 2025 until 31 March 2026 only.

Most of my guests have been studying/internship at the UMC Hospital complex, less than 15 mins away by bike. 

Important house rules :
VEGETARIAN & NON-SMOKING
(you don't have to be vegetarian, but NO meat or smoking anywhere on the property).

Registration possible.

Please check our location before applying : we are in the beautiful, peaceful countryside: nearest public transport & Jumbo supermarket is Gein Metro, a 10 minute bike ride.

IMPORTANT : when replying to this ad, please let me know where you are studying (I will ask to see a current student registration card) and a little about yourself, including your age. Photo also, please, if not already in your profile (we accept all ethnicities).

Please also note the short contract duration (I intend to sell my house at some point in the next year).

Applying for a room is a little like applying for a job: you need to convince the landlord that you are a good prospective tenant, who can afford to pay the rent. If all you write is "I'm interested in the room", you are not going to get the room (or a job)!
