About the place

While we are spending the winter abroad, we are renting out our newly high-end renovated townhouse on a quiet street in the sought-after Pijlsweerd neighbourhood.

The entire ground floor has recently undergone a complete renovation and energy upgrade:

 Bedrooms & Layout (Perfect for a Couple or 2 Flatmates/Expats)
* Master Bedroom (Upstairs): Spacious and tranquil bedroom with a comfortable double bed and wardrobe space, toilet and bath tub.
* Second Bedroom / Studio (Upstairs): Generous second bedroom with its own bed and a private kitchenette, offering optimal privacy and independence for a second resident.
* (Note: one back room on the first floor remains locked for our personal storage and is excluded from the lease).

 Prime Location: Pijlsweerd & Historic Centre
* Around the corner (150 – 250 metres): Charming waterside dining like Eetcafé Blij (by the Weerdsingel / River Vecht), and the vibrant Amsterdamsestraatweg with artisan bakeries, organic markets, specialty coffee spots, and supermarkets (e.g. Albert Heijn and Ekoplaza at 350 m).
* River Vecht & Historic Canals (250 metres / 3 min walk): Stroll along the water with scenic views of the famous Dom Tower just 250 metres from your front door.
* City Centre & Neude Square: Only 900 metres away (approx. 10 min walk or 3–4 min cycle) to the historic canals (Oudegracht), designer shops, and bustling terraces, Vredenburg and Neude.
* Utrecht Central Station: Just 850 metres walk (approx. 8–10 min walk or 3 min cycle) – fast direct trains to Amsterdam South, Arnhem, Den Bosch and Schiphol Airport in 30 mins.

 Terms & Requirements
* Fixed Period: Exactly 3 months (Nov 17, 2026 – Feb 15, 2027). Shorter stays or interim cancellation are not possible.
* Contract: Temporary lease with diplomatic clause (art. 7:274 lid 1 sub b Dutch Civil Code) as the owners are returning on February 15, 2027.
* Liability Insurance: Tenant(s) must hold personal third-party liability insurance (AVP / WA – approx. € 3–€ 5/month in NL; proof of policy required before key handover).
* Payment: Security deposit and first month's rent prior to check-in.
* House rules: Non-smoking, no pets.

1. A brief introduction of yourself/the two of you (profession, employer or academic institute, reason for your stay, leasure activities).

3. Confirmation that the dates (Nov 17, 2026 – Feb 15, 2027) fit your plans.

Selected candidates will receive an invitation and time slot for the viewing evening on Tuestday November 3rd between 16:00 and 18:00.
