Available for 2 persons starting 1 May 2025, for an indefinite period.

According to the latest legal requirements, the Amsterdam Housing Regulations 2025, per 1 January 2025, two adults who do not have an emotional relationship are also allowed to share one apartment.

You decide together which activities you wish to do jointly.
You are no longer required, as in the past, to run a joint household.

The owner has a summary of the legal requirements tenants must meet.
Applicants must read this summary and confirm that they understand its contents.

A. The two tenants must share one kitchen space for preparing meals.

B. The two tenants share one of the two bathrooms. The second shower and toilet are located in a private room and do not need to be shared.

C. One of the two tenants must sign contracts with Waternet and an energy supplier.

You each pay approximately €1.450.00 per person for all living expenses, including energy, water, internet, waste and water board taxes, equipment rental, furnishings, and fittings.

Perfect location, no traffic noise.

You will have:
•	One living-sleeping space of 28 m² with a shower, toilet, sink, and kitchenette for your private dishwashing.
•	A second living-sleeping space of 24 m².

You will share:
•	The eat-in kitchen with all appliances
•	The second bathroom with bathtub/shower, two sinks, and second toilet
•	The rooftop terrace (24 m²)

Strict requirements:
•	Age: 24+ years
•	Employment: at least 24 months in the Amsterdam region, 36+ hours per week
•	Net salary: 2 x €3,300.00
•	No smoking, vaping, or drug use
•	No pets
•	Mandatory registration in the municipal population registry
•	Clean kitchen appliances and dishes immediately after use
•	Clean bathroom and personal room once per week

If you don’t have a second person to share the apartment with, you can discuss with other candidates who will sign the rental contract together.
You may arrange your agreements independently. The owner does not mediate.

The owner is legally required to verify your identity, employment contract, last three months of salary, and current residence.

Both tenants rent the entire floor plan of the apartment together from the owner.
The owner does not determine who pays which portion of the costs.

Before the interview, you will receive an information package explaining the legal rules that all residents must follow to legally live in Amsterdam in an apartment shared by 2, 3, or 4 people—and what fines apply for violating these rules.
