Hi! I’m Hafiya (Fiya), a 19-year-old Communication Science student from Indonesia, currently doing an exchange at the University of Groningen until the end of January 2027. I’m currently staying with my aunt in Leiden while searching for my new home in Groningen, so I’m already in the Netherlands and happy to come by for viewings! A little bit about me: I’m a film enthusiast, I love photography, exploring cafés and new places, and trying (and cooking!) different kinds of food. I enjoy having a cozy home where people can relax, share stories, and occasionally have a nice dinner or coffee together. I’m an open-minded and respectful person who really values a comfortable living environment. I’m happy to adapt to different lifestyles — whether you have pets, specific house rules, prefer not cooking certain foods, or have your own way of living. I’m also very tidy and don’t bring many belongings, so if you ever travel or need someone to keep an eye on your room while you’re away, I’d be happy to help take care of it. I’m looking for a place where I can focus on my studies while also enjoying my time in Groningen. From September onwards I will study "Social Challenges, Policies, and Interventions" in Utrecht and after a few years in Nijmegen I am now ready to make a new city my home. Besides my studies I love to be in nature, work on creative projects like knitting or sewing, cook, play Volleyball, and spend time with my friends. From my time studying in Nijmegen I already have lots of experience living with other people and like to think that I am a clean, open-minded and uncomplicated roommate to live with.
