Mijn naam is Harald en na het afronden van mijn bachelor Technical Computer Science aan de Universiteit Twente in het verre oosten (Enschede), heb ik besloten terug te keren naar het westen om mijn Master in Embedded Systems of Quantum Information Science & Technology af te ronden. Maar wie is die Harald nou eigenlijk? Ik ben een veelzijdig persoon die graag nieuwe dingen ontdekt en actief bezig is. Tijdens mijn vier jaar aan de UT heb ik het Bachelor Honours-programma gevolgd en was ik erg actief bij mijn studievereniging. Zo heb ik meer dan acht commissies gedaan, met als grootste de introductiecommissie (Kick-IT), waarvoor ik een driedaags tentenkamp voor 500 studenten heb georganiseerd. Daarnaast ben ik sinds mijn tweede jaar actief lid van roeivereniging D.R.V. Euros. Hier heb ik onder andere een roeiregatta georganiseerd en ben ik momenteel verantwoordelijk voor onze afsluitende lustrumactiviteit "Te Land Ter Zee met de D.R.V." (check vooral even euros_tltzmetdedrv insta !). Mijn nieuwsgierigheid bracht me ook buiten Europa: ik heb een semester in Taiwan gestudeerd, waar ik veel nieuwe vrienden maakte en kennismaakte met totaal andere culturen. In mijn vrije tijd vind je me vaak op mijn racefiets, ga ik graag uit met vrienden of relax ik in de woonkamer met goede muziek op de achtergrond. Mijn muzieksmaak is divers: van elektronische beats zoals Daft Punk en Drum and Bass tot klassiekers als Fleetwood Macs "The Dance" of Radiohead. Mijn zomers staan meestal in het teken van vakanties met verschillende vriendengroepen, afgewisseld met festivals zoals Liquicity Summer. In de winter ga ik graag skiën en hoop ik zelfs meerdere dagen per week lekker off-piste (backcountry) te kunnen skiën. De afgelopen drie jaar woonde ik in het gezellige, gemengde studentenhuis "Toby" met vier mannen en drie vrouwen. We zijn hecht, eten dagelijks samen en organiseren regelmatig activiteiten en een groot jaarlijks kerstdiner. Dit soort fijne huisdynamiek, met aandacht voor elkaar in goede én mindere tijden, zoek ik opnieuw. Wat zoek ik precies? Ik zoek een gezellig huis in de buurt van mijn huidige huisstijl, met ruimte om mezelf te zijn en tegelijk actief betrokken te blijven. Elke avond samen eten vind ik erg belangrijk, net als gezellig samenzijn daarna. Een open en positieve sfeer thuis, waarin iedereen zichzelf kan zijn en eerlijkheid wordt gewaardeerd, is voor mij essentieel. Wel moet ik eerlijk zijn: mijn tijd als sjaars of twaars is voorbij, en mijn alcoholgebruik is afgenomen. Natuurlijk sta ik open voor een gezellige borrel (vooral met speciaalbier!), maar als jullie zoeken naar iemand die elke avond volledig uit z'n dak gaat, ben ik misschien niet de beste match Als jullie denken dat ik een goede toevoeging zou zijn aan jullie huis, kom ik graag eens langs om kennis te maken!
