From April 2026 until March 2027, I will be working as a visiting scholar at the VU Amsterdam. I‘m looking for a studio or room in a shared flat in West/Zuid/Oost Amsterdam. I‘m open-minded, trustworthy, clean, neat, easy-going, and creative. I’m an independent person while it’s natural to me to pay regard to other people’s needs. I’m interested in literature and films, pottery, dancing, politics, writing, cooking/eating, nature, hiking, camping, and good discussions. I drink a lot of tea, I like having a beer or a glass of wine with friends. A sustainable and vegetarian/vegan lifestyle is important to me. I‘m positive and critical thinking at the same time. I‘m really looking forward to my Amsterdam experience:).

In mijn vrije tijd spreek ik graag af met vrienden en hou ik ervan om gewoon te chillen. Ik houd van een ontspannen en vriendelijke sfeer en ben makkelijk in de omgang. Voor mij is een plek waar ik me thuis kan voelen belangrijk. Een rustige plek voor mezelf, of een gezellige omgeving als er huisgenoten zijn. Ik pas me makkelijk aan en zorg goed voor mijn leefruimte. Ik kijk ernaar uit om een fijne woonplek te vinden! Idealiter zou ik per 1 januari willen verhuizen, maar ik kan ook eerder intrekken als dat handiger is, of later als dat beter uitkomt.

Ik ben beveiliger en ga in mijn vrije tijd naar de gym(Noog niet fanatiek genoeg!). Verder game(cod) ik en indien mogelijk trap ik ook nog een balletje. Ik vind me plek snel binnen een ploeg/team/huishouden en draag me steentje bij waar ik kan. Bij verdere vragen hoor ik het graag. met vriendelijke groet, Jason

Hoi! Wij zijn Youri (28) en Robin (25). We wonen inmiddels al twee jaar samen in Amsterdam en zijn op zoek naar een nieuwe studio of appartement. We zijn allebei filmmaker en werken veel aan onze projecten. Ik heb zelf een vaste werkplek bij Pakhuis Wilhelmina. We zijn rustig, netjes en gaan zorgvuldig om met de woning en onze omgeving. We zijn gewend samen te wonen in een kleine studio, waardoor de grootte voor ons niet heel veel uitmaakt. Zolang we een fijne plek hebben om te wonen, zijn we flexibel. We hebben geen huisdieren en roken niet. We maken graag kennis!

Tanja is completing a Research Master's in Philosophy at the UvA and works as a Research Assistant for the Global Constitution Project. Ophelia works full-time as a Community Strategist at the School for Moral Ambition. We are responsible, calm and friendly, like to keep a tidy and quiet home. We are currently huisbewarder at an apartment we found through Kamernet, so we have plenty of experience taking care of someone else's home as if it were our own. We're looking for a small apartment or studio for just the two of us where one of us can register, preferably in Amsterdam. My name is Rui Marques, I am Portuguese and 25 years old. I am looking for a studio/apartment/house for me and my girlfriend, Joana Ferreira, Portuguese and also 25 years old.  Both of us are doing our PhD in Cancer Researcher in Portugal, together with the Leiden University Medical Center. Our monthly payment is provided by the Foundation for Science and Technology, which is the government entity in Portugal responsible for paying PhD students. Each of us earns 2218€ per month, with also a first additional income for housing deposits and travel. We can provide the needed documents to prove this. Both of us are well humored, calm, organized and unproblematic people. We both give a lot of importance to a clean, organized and quiet home.We enjoy hanging out and getting to know new places, go on walks and participate in the community around us but also enjoy cozy days at home watching movies and TV shows. I must add that I have already lived in Leiden for 6 months from july to december 2025 (I can also send proof of this and provide contact of my previous landlords ). This gives me already a notion of what it is like living in the Netherlands. Additionally we have 2 small dogs. Well behaved, trained and used to live indoors. Because of that we are open to pay a caution of value that you see fit. To show you we are serious in staying in the Netherlands and that we are able to deal with rental we are open to pay upfront X months of rent (depending on the rent amount). We can move in on the first weeks of March. As we are in Portugal currently we are not able to visit the apartment. If it is possible it would be ideal if we could do the visit via videocall or by sending a friend to see the house for us. We are open to any questions you may have.
